Started by owner Darrell Ayres in 1994, SBH is a member of both the Home Builders Association and the Better Business Bureau.

StoneBrook Homes offers our clients several unique features that set us apart from other builders:

First, our clients work directly with the owner throughout all phases of the building process. Darrell works closely with each homeowner throughout the design, pricing and construction stages, providing over 15 years of building experience. SBH chooses to manage a limited number of building projects per year, allowing us to be at each homesite on a daily basis handling every detail.

Second, we have developed our exclusive “Cost Plus” Guarantee pricing system. This system calculates the cost of materials and labor plus 10% SBH commission to arrive at the final cost. Most custom builders’ commissions are around 20%, but because SBH does not build spec homes and has a very limited overhead, we are able to save the homeowner money. Our “Cost Plus” Guarantee pricing system tracks all expenses through every phase of construction, including funds paid to SBH. The homeowner even has the potential to receive cash back from SBH at the time of move-in if actual cost is lower than projected cost, which occurs 75% of the time.

Third, included in our contract is a detailed list of specifications and allowances. This list clearly explains the exact materials being used. There are no extra charges for origination of change orders if the homeowner makes any revisions to this list, SBH will still charge only the cost of materials and labor plus 10%. This detailed list eliminates any financial surprises for the homeowner after a signed contract is in place.

Fourth, we guarantee our homeowners a final completion move-in date. If this date is not met because of any delay caused by SBH, $1000.00 per week is paid directly to the homeowner for each week construction continues after the scheduled completion date.

Fifth, the SBH final guarantee and warranty. Work to be repaired after move in. 10 year waterproof warranty on basement. 30 year warranty on shingles, etc.
