Happy Homeowners
The quality of our Stonebrook home is exceptional – we have had no problems after 12 years of living in this home. Mr. Ayres was very easy to work with and followed through with any changes we wanted to make. The amount of woodwork and craftsmanship is of an utmost quality. Everyone comments on the openness of the floor plan with 9 foot ceilings and the wall of bookcases around the fireplace. Previously we had built a home with another company in Columbus. In comparison Mr. Ayres and Stonebrook homes is by far superior to our previous experience with the other builder. Mr. Ayres has very unique floor plans, the bedrooms and closets are much bigger than any homes that we have been in which are comparable to our house. In our opinion the size and quality of the home was very well worth the price.

The best testimonial that we can state concerning StoneBrook Homes is that if we would ever build another home in the area we would contract Darrell Ayres to be our builder. Darrell is a great communicator and is constantly in touch with the homeowner discussing the progress and timetable of the building process which was completed in a timely manner. Most builders charge extra in addition to the actual cost for any changes made after construction begins. Not only did Darrell not charge extra but suggested changes to us after construction began that really added to the appearance of our home. Most importantly Darrell Ayres is an honest and trustworthy person who builds quality homes at a fair price and stands behind his work.

In searching for a contractor to build our new home, we evaluated quality of construction, price, and the ability of the contractor to work with us to turn our general plans into a final, livable design. We chose Darrell Ayres of Stone Brook Homes as the best in meeting our criteria. We have been very pleased with our building experience and our new home and would not hesitate to recommend Darrell to our friends.

If you are reading this letter, you have been in contact with Darrell Ayres. We were in your same position in October of 2007.We interviewed a number of builders and thought we were never going to find the right person to trust with such an important and life-changing project.

Luckily, we met Darrell and our worries were finally over. After a few initial meetings to get to know each other – Darrell made it a point to find out what was most important to us, what design styles we wanted to incorporate, how we lived day to day and what our fears, expectations and wildest dreams were. Nothing seemed to scare him – that’s an important trait in a general contractor.

We had some idea of what we wanted and Darrell’s hands on experience as a carpenter and a general contractor proved a valuable asset as he was able to explain, in detail, the ramifications of our decisions – as you put a blueprint together, everything must tie together and Darrell always kept a pulse on the complexity and the cost of our project. In other words, he made every effort to make certain we could afford what we were proposing.

We were also impressed by Darrell’s team.We were assured that he used the same contractors on a regular basis so we were comfortable that his (and our) standards were being met in every step of the building process. His carpenter and painter became part of the family – this happens when you see people in your house every day.

The project was completed on time with no memorable incidents. The project was also on budget. We feel that we got much more than what we paid for and that, in itself, is our greatest compliment to Darrell and his team. We love our new home. If you call first, we’d be delighted to show it off.
